YOU ARE A POWERHOUSE

Let me prove it to you.

While my education and experience as a physical therapist hasn’t made me immune to pain, injury, aging, or the rollercoaster of thoughts and emotions that accompany these experiences, it has helped me come to realize some key things about being human. The most important is that we are incredibly resilient and adaptable!

Hey, I’m Tori!

I help former athletes navigate chronic pain and build sustainable health and fitness habits so they can stay active for life.

I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy in Rocklin, CA, specializing in orthopedics, sports injuries, and chronic pain. I earned my BS in Exercise Physiology from California State University, Chico in 2016, and my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in 2018.

Unfortunately, after just one year in practice, I was already on the brink of burn out. The COVID pandemic forced me to re-evaluate my career and life, revealing my frustration with a healthcare system driven by profit rather than patient well-being. I also saw the limitations of insurance-based physical therapy and the poor quality of care for athletic individuals in many rehab facilities.

Determined to make a difference, I founded Fortitude Physical Therapy and Wellness to offer an evidence-based, fitness-oriented approach to rehabilitation that focuses on treating the whole person—not just their injuries. I’m committed to providing personalized care and empowering former athletes with the tools they need to confidently navigate chronic pain and get stronger without having to go into a physical therapy clinic twice per week for 6+ weeks.

I created Fortitude to remind you of how powerful you are.

As both an athlete and a physical therapist, I know how powerful the mind-body connection can be in reducing suffering and optimizing health. I’m here to give you the tools and knowledge to do this for yourself and to remind you of your ability to heal, adapt, and thrive.

And the best part is, you can achieve this from the comfort and privacy of your own home!

No need to commute to a clinic to have someone watch you do basic, cookie-cutter exercises, or to follow some generic YouTube exercise program that’s not tailored to you or your goals. At Fortitude, I provide 1:1 video consultations, personalized exercise programs, and ongoing support through online and app-based platforms to help you achieve optimal results efficiently.

Online Rehab Consultation

*This option is for California residents only!

After your free discovery session, we may have come to the conclusion that you would benefit from my help in a limited capacity. If you need a little bit of guidance on how to start or continue training around pain or how to improve your health and fitness after an injury, this online consultation gives you up to 60 minutes of 1:1 access to me so you can ask all of your burning questions and gain some clarity around your situation.

*This option does NOT include a personalized exercise program or follow up visits. This is just a one-time opportunity for general rehab guidance and training recommendations.

What you will need:

  • A laptop, computer, or smart-device with a front-facing camera and microphone

  • Internet access, ideally while other house members are NOT using streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, Video Games, etc.), as this can significantly reduce the quality of the video session

  • A private, quiet place without distractions

Online Rehab Coaching

*This option is for California residents only!

If we decide to work together after the discovery session, I will direct you to sign up for an initial consultation to start rehab coaching. This includes a 1:1 video call (60-90 minutes) where we will discuss your specific problem in detail and go through a movement screen with special attention to the area(s) of your body that’s bothering you.

Then, we will create a game plan for how to best help you reach your goals. This often includes education, lifestyle modifications, and an individualized exercise program that you access through an app on your phone. After the initial evaluation, I will check in with you weekly and you will have access to me online to ask questions for 4 weeks.

We will schedule follow up visits together depending on your needs and our collaborative plan. Most of my clients only book 1 follow up visit every 4 weeks, but if we need to meet more often than this you will be able to schedule further follow up visits at your convenience for an extra fee.

What you will need:

  • A laptop, computer, or smart-device with a front-facing camera and microphone

  • Internet access, ideally while other house members are NOT using streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, Video Games, etc.), as this can significantly reduce the quality of the video session

  • A private, quiet place without distractions and with some space to move around

Online Fitness Coaching

Whether your goal is to get back in shape for a race or recreational sport, gain strength and muscle/bone mass, reduce injury risk, or safely transition back into to a fitness program after an injury, a personalized exercise routine from a physical therapist may be exactly what you need. Many of my rehab coaching clients transition to this service after their pain or injury is addressed and well-managed.

If you are new to Fortitude, this service includes an initial 1:1 video call (60-90 minutes) where we will discuss your goals and current health behaviors and perform a brief movement screen to identify if you have any physical limitations that may need special attention. After this, we will collaborate to create a personalized fitness program and wellness plan to help you crush your goals and maximize your health.

What you will need:

  • A desktop, laptop, tablet, or smart-device with a front-facing camera and microphone

  • Internet access, ideally while other house members are NOT using streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, Video Games, etc.), as this can significantly reduce the quality of the video session

  • A private, quiet place without distractions and with some space to move around
